Coloring your hair with Henna

Hi girls,
Let me tell you henna.
Henna whose scientific name is Lawsonia Inermis is a plant whose leaves are dried and ground. It appears as a green powder.
Henna is sold in herbal medicine, in ethnic shops or online.
Henna can be 100% pure or it may be an addition of chemical picramato sodium.
Henna pure before being used to oxidize a whole night, to release the color.
Henna with chemical addition can be used immediately without letting it oxidize, but WARNING , the picramato sodium is bad for the fetus, so if you are pregnant henna used is 100% pure.
Never trust those who say that it is pure, always check the INCI, there should be only Lawsonia inermis.
If you have dyed hair with chemical dyes DO NOT use henna with picramato because you could become GREEN!
My advice is to always use pure!
Let the proceedings.
We need:
  • Henna
  • Water, or infusion of black tea or chamomile
The other ingredients are optional
  • Lemon
  • Yogurt
Yogurt should nourish the hair but there are many different opinions, I read that helps the proliferation of dandruff so I would not recommend it but many use it anyway.
Lemon should help the henna to oxidize and then to color more, if you want to add the juice of a lemon to the water.
Doses:
I read on several sites for long hair it would take 300 grams of henna but the second is too, in fact I use 150 gr. If you have short hair, I recommend a dose of 50 g to 100 g hair down to his shoulders then gradually more and more in 50 gr.
The first time make it a little 'more, so that the remains can be frozen and reused .
Procedure:
Take the henna and add water a little at a time and mix well until we get a thick yoghurt type products.
Once the right consistency we cover the henna with a transparent film and we do oxidize near a source of heat for the whole night. The day after we apply it as a real color, cover with plastic wrap and then you put a hat or a scarf to keep him warm.
henna only flaw? It should be kept a long time posing! I got to hold it 8 hours ahead! But it's worth it. If you do not want to spend all this time, put it before going to sleep and wash the next day. I recommend you cover your pillow with an old towel to avoid soiling.
addition to dye, henna deeply nourishes the hair making it thicker and transparencies, remove frizz, forms a moisturizing film on the hair eliminating the need to open the scales then avoid the effect thrilled.
I hope this article has been to your liking and that somehow has helped you.
