The Museum and Gallery Northampton, England, initiated one of the most comprehensive exhibitions of shoes in the world, with models and designers several decades.
The collection has more than 12 thousand pairs of shoes, since models of ancient Egypt until the boldest examples of contemporary British design.
Northampton, known as the "capital" leather in Britain, is a major center of shoe making. The city has a tradition of research centers and industries related to leather.
